Front Panel Controls

Front Panel Controls


S1 - Press to enter Menus. In Menus, pressing increments Menu screens.


S2 - Initiates the display, internal and tuning fork tests. In Menus, pressing will save selection and return to Main Enforcement screen.


S3 - Programmable soft key short cut to favorite menu. Toggles Patrol Speed Blanking with a locked target.


S4 - Control for power on / off. Power off to save current menu selections.

Remote Control

  1. Lock/Rel – Toggles target Lock/Release. With unit in HOLD, press and hold for QuikTrak. In Audio Menu, toggles squelch on/off. In Display Menu, toggles backlight control.
  2. Move/STA - Toggles between stationary and moving modes. In Display Menu, toggles C1 & C3 display color settings.
  3. Tgt Dir – Stationary – Press to select Stationary All, approaching only, and receding only. Moving - toggles between Opposite and Same Direction. In C1 Display Menu, progresses background colors.
  4. BACK - In Menus, press to go back 1 menu
  5. Access to battery compartment
  6. LED – Red - trying to connect. Green - connected
  7. Front/Hold - Toggles on/off Front antenna. If rear antenna active, press to place Rear antenna in Hold and activate Front. In Menus, increases level.
  8. Rear/Hold - Toggles on/off Rear antenna. If front antenna active, press to place Front antenna in Hold and activate Rear. In Menus, decreases level.
  9. Enter –In Menus, Enters selection and returns unit to Main Enforcement screen.
  10. Menu/BKLT - Quick press illuminates remote backlight. Press and Hold to enter Menus. In Menus, press to increment Menus.

NOTE: NO LED indicates the batteries need to be replaced.

NOTE: The first button press wakes the remote. It will take action on the next button press.

  1. TGT DIR
    In Stationary operation, progresses All, approaching only, and receding only target zones. In Moving Operations, it toggles Opposite and Same Direction. In C1 Display menu, progresses background colors.
  2. Down Arrow
    Down arrow in menus; lowers brightness in Display Menu with manual control.
  3. Front
    Toggles Front antenna microwave transmitter on/off. Toggles C1/C3 color selection in Display Menu.
  4. Rear
    Toggles Rear antenna microwave transmitter on/off. Toggles C1/C3 color selection in Display Menu.
  5. Up Arrow
    Toggles Moving/Stationary Modes, Up arrow in menu screens; increases brightness in Display Menu with manual control.
  6. Lock
    Locks Target Speed. Toggles manual/automatic brightness control in Display Menu.
  7. Test
    Short cut to Tuning Fork test.

Fork Test

Stationary Tuning Fork Test

  1. Place the Eagle 3 in stationary mode, select Front antenna.
  2. Press the Test button or touch screen lower right.
  3. Lightly strike the low fork (30 mph) and place in front of the antenna. Verify the speed displayed is ± 1 mph.
  4. Repeat for the high fork and rear antenna (if used.)

Moving Mode Tuning Fork Tests

  1. Place in the Moving Opposite mode, select Front antenna.
  2. Press the Test button or touch screen lower right.
  3. Lightly strike the low fork (30 mph) and place in front of the antenna. Verify the Patrol speed displayed is ± 1 mph.
  4. While holding the lower speed fork in front of the antenna, lightly strike the high fork (55 mph) and place in front of the antenna. Verify the Target speed displayed is the difference between forks (25 mph) with a tolerance of ± 1 mph.
  5. Repeat for Same direction with the High, then Low forks.
  6. Verify the speed is the sum of the forks (85) ± 1 mph.
  7. Repeat for the rear antenna (if used.)
