Operation Information

Device List Update

When user clicks on connect button and opens the controller window, device list
automatically updated and status of the connected device is set to "In Use". When user closes
the controller window, list is updated again.

Transaction Message Limit

Maximum transaction message hold in the panel is limited to 5000.

Simultaneous Master/Slave Operations

Both I²C and SPI can operate on master and slave modes simultaneously. An important side
note here is that pins on the target bus connector is connected to the slave pins inside the
device. When user sends a master command, pins are switched to master pins, operation is
performed and pins are switched back to slave pins.
I²C Pins as GPIO
I²C pins, pin#1 and pin#3 are internally pulled up. Which means that when they are configured
as GPIO inputs, their values are always high.

Known Issues and Limitations

I²C/SPI Master Read Operations are not Operational when Count of Bytes Requested is
Greater than 2048 Bytes
This error occurs due to a memory issue in the read operations. "Out of memory" exception
will be thrown when count of bytes requested is greater than 2048 Bytes. Currently there is
no solution to this problem.
I²C Master Bit Rate Limitation
I²C master is currently not operational when the set bit rate is faster than 1MHz. High speed
I²C requires additional logic for operation. This feature is currently not implemented.

SPI Master Bit Rate Limitation

SPI master is currently not operational when the set bit rate is faster than 6MHz. This issue is
caused by a synchronization issue between the device driver and API. Currently there is no
solution to this problem.
Note Data still can be written at speeds higher than 6MHz, but read data may be
corrupted.
