20. Lubricate the seal (black) (42*) and press into the
bushing (37*), with the lips of seal facing into the
bushing.
21. Install the o-ring (45*) on the end of the bushing
(37*).
22. Install the bushing (37*) into the fluid body (36),
with the o-rings facing into the fluid body.
23. Screw the seal housing (41*) into the fluid body
(36).
24. Lubricate the fluid needle (53*) shaft. Turn the
needle as you install the shaft through the fluid
body (36), seals (42*, 43*), and bushing (37*).
25. Install the o-rings (44*, 45*) and lubricate them.
26. Press and turn the seat (54*) into the fluid body
(36).
27. Replace the rubber boot (52*) over the connector
(40) and secure end to the motor face plate. Slide
boot back to expose set screw holes.
28. Press the fluid body (36) and adapter (35) togeth-
er. Secure them with the four screws (47) and split
lock washers (50). Torque the screws to 32 in-lb
(3.6 NSm).
29. Slowly relieve the air pressure from the Metering
Valve to release the closer.

Service
The motor shaft is forced to the full forward position
by the closer. Slowly relieve the air pressure to
prevent excessive impact of the shaft, which could
damage the equipment.
30. Finger-tighten one set screw (39*) on the connec-
tor (40). Tighten the second set screw and torque
it to 15 in-lbs (1.7 NSm). Retighten the first set
screw and torque to 15 in-lbs (1.7 NSm).
31. Slide the rubber boot (52) back to cover the set
screws (39), making sure the end is still secured
over the motor face plate.
32. Install the guard (51).
33. Connect the pressure sensor cables (K) to the
connector (L).
34. Mount the Metering Valve.
35. Connect the fluid lines to the metering valve fluid
inlet (A) and (B).
36. Connect the closer air line to the closer air
inlet (G).
37. Turn on the fluid supply.
38. Re-calibrate the PrecisionFlo XL system. See the
PrecisionFlo XL Control manual.
