Logical trigger
A logical trigger is the method used for event-oriented data transmission in → ERPC
communication. Data is read from the CPU of the S7 station containing the CP 343-1 ERPC.
The data read out is sent by the → ERPC application in the CP to one or more → ERP
subscribers.
The basic configuration of the logical trigger is created in the → ILS Workbench.
The triggering of the logical trigger takes place in the user program of the CPU. The relevant
data areas of the CPU and the software blocks required for the logical trigger are configured
in the STEP 7 project.
MAC
Media Access Control
Protocol with which access to a transmission medium (cable, wireless) is controlled if it
cannot be used by all nodes at the same time.
MAC address
Hardware address for the unique identification of a device in an Ethernet network. The MAC
address is assigned by the manufacturer. On some devices it can be modified.
