TECHNICAL OVERVIEW

6.1

Generator

The electronic components (the power boards and the filter board) are mounted into the
plastic housing, which is called the generator. The cooling and the mains supply box are
integrated within the plastic housing. The different boards are connected with each other
through a line cord and a bus cable. The power boards are identical and include two
converters each.
The converters transform the frequency of the mains voltage which is 50 Hz into a variable
one of 20 to 60kHz.

Integrated Cooling of the Generator

The cooling is integrated within the plastic housing of the generator by a fan. The operation of
the fan is controlled by the temperature, which is measured at the heat sink.
The cooling fan start's at a low speed at temperatures below 45°C, when a second cooking
zone is switched on or once the temperature rises above 55°C the fan will change to a higher
speed.
Note: the installation of the product must allow an adequate fresh air flow to the product from
outside the cabinetry. (Refer installation guide)
