CHECKING THE CARBURETOR WARMER

1. Check:
Carburetor warmer element resistance
G
Out of specification → Replace.
Carburetor warmer resistance
4.7–9.5 Ω 20°C (68°F)

a. Remove the carburetor warmer leads from
the carburetor.
b. Connect the pocket tester (Ω × 1) to the car-
buretor warmer as shown.
Pocket tester

Positive tester probe
Carburetor warmer terminal "1"
Negative tester probe
Carburetor warmer body "2"
c. Measure the carburetor warmer resistance.
