Before you use this product

  • Please make sure you read the instruction manual carefully.

  • The device should only be used as described in your instruction manual.
  • Keep this device and the battery out of reach of children.
  • Small parts can be swallowed by children (under three years old).
  • Batteries contain harmful acids and may be hazardous if swallowed. If a battery is swallowed, this can lead to serious internal burns and death within two hours. If you suspect a battery could have been swallowed or otherwise caught in the body, seek medical help immediately.
  • Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, shortcircuited, taken apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!
  • Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by leaking.
  • Avoid contact with skin, eyes and mucous membranes when handling leaking batteries. In case of contact, immediately rinse the affected areas with water and consult a doctor.
  • Do not expose the device to extreme temperatures, vibrations or shocks. Protect it from moisture.
  • Only the probe is heat resistant up to 200°C.
  • Never hold the probe directly over fire.
  • Do not use the instrument in the oven or microwave.
  • Unauthorized repairs, modifications or changes to the product are prohibited.
  • Clean your instrument with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents.
  • Do not immerse the display element into water. Water can penetrate into the precision sensor and cause malfunction. Not suitable for dishwasher.
  • Be careful when handling the probe. When the device is not used, put the protective cap over the probe.
  • The product is not be used for medical purpose.

Getting started/Operation

  • Remove the protective cap from the probe.
  • Press the ON/OFF button, to turn on the device.
  • The display shows the currently measured temperature. The sensor is located in the point of the probe.
  • To measure the temperature, insert the probe at least 2,5 cm deep in the object.
  • The temperature unit can be changed from °C to °F by the °C/°F button.
  • Press the MODE button once in normal mode and the hold-function is activated (on the display appears HOLD).
  • Press the MODE button again and the maximum temperature is shown since the last reset (on the display appears MAX).
  • Press the MODE button again and the minimum temperature is shown since the last reset (on the display appears MIN).
  • Press the MODE button again to return to normal mode.
  • To clear the maximum and minimum memory, press and hold the MODE button for 3 seconds in the corresponding mode while MAX or MIN is displayed (indicated by ---). Press the MODE button again to return to normal mode.
  • Press and hold MODE button for 3 seconds in normal mode, to deactivate or activate the automatic off-function.
  • X appears or disappears on the display.
  • Change the battery when the functions of the device become weak.
  • Open the battery compartment and insert a new battery LR44 polarity as illustrated (+pole above).
