Before you start using it

Risk of injury:

  • Keep this instrument and the batteries out of the reach of children.
  • Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuited, taken apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!
  • Never use a combination of old and new batteries together, or batteries of different types.
  • Batteries contain harmful acids. Low batteries should be changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by leaking.
  • Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and glasses when handling leaking batteries.

Getting started

  • Open the battery compartment inserting your finger into the designated slots and lift the cover from the housing.
  • Insert two new batteries 1,5 V AAA. Ensure that the battery polarities are correct.
  • All LCD segments will light up for a few seconds.
  • The unit is ready for use.
  • Close the battery compartment again.
  • The cover is properly inserted in the housing as soon as a click is heard.

Display

  • The upper display shows the maximum temperature (MAX) since the last reset.
  • The middle display shows the current temperature.
  • The lower display shows the minimum temperature (MIN), since the last reset.
  • Press and hold CLEAR button to clear the maximum and minimum values.
  • Press the °C/°F or CLEAR button to change between °C (Celsius) or °F (Fahrenheit) as temperature unit.

Fixing

  • To install the thermometer outside choose a shady and dry place.
  • Inside the house avoid radiators and direct sunshine.
  • Secure the instrument to the wall with a nail!

Care and maintenance

  • Clean your instrument with a soft damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring agents
  • Remove the batteries if you do not use it for a long period of time
  • Keep the instrument in a dry place.

Waste disposal
