4.3.9 CSM Configuration

■ CSM Support
This item allows you to enable or disable CSM support.
■ GateA20 Active
This item allows you to select <Upon Request> or <Always>.
Upon Request: GA20 can be disabled using BIOS services.
Always: Do not allow GA20 disabling. This option is useful when any RT code is executed
above 1MB.
■ Option ROM Messages
This item allows you to select <Force BIOS> or <Keep Current>.
Force BIOS : The third-party ROM messages will be forced to display during the boot
sequence.
Keep Current : The third-party ROM messages will be displayed only if the third-party
manufactured had set the add-on device to do so.
■ Boot option filter
This item allows you to select which type of operating system to boot.
UEFI and Legacy: Allows booting from operating systems that support legacy option ROM
or UEFI option ROM.
Legacy only: Allows booting from operating systems that only support legacy option ROM.
UEFI only: Allows booting from operating systems that only support UEFI option ROM.
■ PXE Function
This item controls the execution of UEFI and PXE option ROM. Select <Do not launch>,
<UEFI> or <Legacy>.
■ Storage
This setting allows you to select whether to enable the UEFI or legacy option ROM for the
storage device controller. Select <Do not launch>, <UEFI> or <Legacy>.
■ Video
This setting allows you to select whether to enable the UEFI or legacy video option ROM
for the video device controller. Select <Do not launch>, <UEFI> or <Legacy>.
■ Other PCI devices
This item determines option ROM execution policy for devices other than Network,
storage or video. Select <Do not launch>, <UEFI> or <Legacy>.
