COOKING WITH A "FAN" OVEN

The heat comes from a circular element situated at the rear of the oven, the fan blows
air over the element and circulates hot air around the oven (figure 17).
Turn the function selector control knob to position
and set the required
temperature with the thermostat control knob.
The set temperature has been reached when the temperature indicator light goes off.
Several different meals may be cooked simultaneously on various shelves, as the
heated air circulates evenly throughout the oven (figure 18).
The hot air system cooks more quickly than conventional static system, therefore the
temperature should be set 15°C - 20°C below those recommended in your recipe
books.
The oven door should only be opened briefly while cooking so any heat losses are
quickly recovered when the door is closed.
