- Close the door and press (P) button until its lamp remains on
- After 20 minutes, the lamp switches off, which indicates the end of the regeneration cycle
- If the appliance is provided with a drain pump, drain the tank (see "Daily cleaning" at
page 23)
- The appliance is now ready to start a normal washing operation.
IMPORTANT NOTE :
It is better to carry out regeneration cycles during the periods of inactivity.
If regenerations are not carried out on a regular basis, the water softener may
get obstructed, which may prevent water from reaching rinsing arms.
The life of the water softener is closely linked to the characteristics of supplied
water (see table below).

* If water is harder than 34°F, it is advisable to install an appliance without internal water
softener, and to install an external softener.
SUPPLEMENTARY MAINTENANCE
Repairs and/or replacement services have to be carried out by skilled technicians,
under pain of immediate lost of guarantee.
- A skilled technician should check the appliance at least twice a year. Entering into a main-
tenance contract would be advisable.
