Warning and Safety instructions It is essential to read these instructions. This machine complies with current safety requirements. Inappropriate use can, however, lead to personal injury and damage to property. To avoid the risk of accidents and damage to the machine, please read these instructions carefully before using it for the first time. - Page 7 Warning and Safety instructions This machine must be used as described in these instructions and must be checked on a regular basis to make sure it is functioning correctly. Maintenance must be carried out when necessary. The machine is not intended for outdoor use. The machine can only be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience or knowledge, if they are supervised whilst using it or have been shown how to use it...
- Page 8 Unauthorised repairs could result in unforeseen dangers for the user, for which the manufacturer cannot accept liability. Repairs should only be undertaken by a Miele approved service technician. If this is not done, any resultant damage will not be covered by the guarantee.
- Page 9 Warning and Safety instructions Faulty components must only be replaced by genuine Miele original spare parts. Only when these parts are fitted can Miele guarantee the safety standards of the machine. Do not use force to open the washer-extractor drum door. The door handle is fitted with a safety device to ensure that the door lock functions correctly.
- Page 10 If, however, you do wish to descale the machine only use proprietary non-corrosive descaling agents and strictly observe the instructions on the packaging. A special descaling agent is available to order from the Miele Spare Parts Department or your Miele dealer.
- Page 11 Warning and Safety instructions Textiles which have been pre-treated in solvent based cleaning agents must be thoroughly rinsed in clean water before being washed in the machine. Never use solvent based cleaning agents, e.g. those containing benzine in this machine, as this may result in damage to component parts and create toxic fumes.
