V.e ADJUSTING THE HEATER
Most ornamental fish require water heated to a temperature that ranges from 24°C to 28°C, depending on the species. It is very
important to keep the water temperature constant, therefore NEWA More aquariums (except for the version NMO 20) are fitted
with an accurate and reliable NEWA Therm Eco automatic submersible heater, with a thermostat that can be adjusted from a
minimum of 18°C to a maximum of 32°C. The heater can be adjusted at any time: when in operation, the incorporated light bulb
will be switched on. To adjust the heater, proceed as follows:
1. Depending on the version, remove the lid of the filtering area or the heater lid (versions NMO 30 and 50), or remove the
skimmer collection cup (version NMO30R).
2. Adjust to the required temperature using the special knob on the NEWA Therm Eco heater. For safety reasons, regularly check
the temperature using an accurate immersion thermometer.
V.f LIGHTING AND TIMER PROGRAMMING
All NEWA More aquariums are equipped with high quality LED lighting capable of guaranteeing an extremely effective light
supply for a long service life. The composition of the strips, which can have different colour combinations between white, red
and actinic LEDs, ensure constant growth of flora and the well-being of the animals housed, both in freshwater and seawater
aquariums. The lighting system of NEWA More aquariums is controlled by touch controls that allow for manual starting, timer
programming and customisation of luminous intensity.
Description of the functions of the touch controls:
this key has a dual function:
1. Manual function: Power on/off
2. Timer function: decreases the time set in the preset program by 1 hour (-1h) each time it is pressed
this key has a triple function:
1. Dimmer function: increases or reduces the luminous intensity of the LEDs both during the daytime phase and during the
night-time phase;
2. Timer function: increases the time set in the preset program by 1 hour (+1h) each time it is pressed
3. Reset to program: goes back to the timer program if the lights have been turned on or off using the key, bypassing the
automatic time program.

Press and hold these 2 keys together for about 2 seconds to access timer programming.
Important specifications:
a) The LED strips fitted in NEWA MORE aquariums feature LEDs of 3 different colours, the combination of which depends on the
intended use of the specific model:
• white LEDs with high colour temperature;
• red LEDs intended for freshwater aquariums to promote photosynthesis of the flora and improve the vividness of the colours
of the fauna;
• actinic LEDs intended for seawater aquariums.
a) The dimmer, timer and on/off functions affect the different LEDs simultaneously. It is not possible to control a single colour
independently.
c) The lighting system is provided with a device that in case of black out keeps the customized program for 40 minutes
maximum:
• If the power supply is restored after 40 minutes, the LED lighting system will restart with the programming preset by the
manufacturer and it will be necessary to program it again to change the basic settings;
• The lighting system is provided with a device that in case of black out keeps the customized program for 40 minutes maximum.
d) The dimmer function allows to set the following:
• the brightness level during the daytime phase from 15% to 100%;
