V.g AERATION SYSTEM
If desired, it is possible to initiate the ventilation system built into the pump to improve oxygenation and gas exchange. To do
so, follow these simple steps:
• Open the bag contacting the ventilation system, assemble all the component parts of the pressure-regulating filter and connect
it to the elastic tube (Fig. 15).
• Open the AIR cap located under the pump and insert the elastic tube into the hole (Fig. 16).
• Set the desired air pressure, lock the mechanism and the connection tube to the special clamps located under the internal unit
cap (Fig. 17).
V.h ADJUSTING THE HEATER
Most ornamental fish require water heated to a temperature that ranges from 24°C to 28°C, depending on the species. It is very
important to keep the water temperature constant, therefore NEWA Mirabello aquarium are fitted with an accurate and reliable
EN
NEWA Therm Eco automatic submersible heater, with a thermostat that can be adjusted from a minimum of 18°C to a maximum
of 32°C. The heater can be adjusted at any time: when in operation, the incorporated light bulb will be switched on. To adjust
the heater, proceed as follows:
1. Remove the lid of the filtering area or the heater lid.
2. Adjust the desired temperature without removing the aquarium heater by using a special handle located under the NEWA
Therm eco heater (Fig. 18). It is necessary to periodically monitor the temperature with a special immersion thermometer to
ensure safety. WARNING: If you need to remove the heater from the filter, make sure that the heater cord is unplugged.
V.i SWITCHING ON THE AQUARIUM
WARNING: connect the electrical appliances to the power supply only after setting up the aquarium as required and filling it
with water.
1. Pour in the water up to the desired level, making sure that the maximum water level does NOT exceed the indicator on the
upper edge to the aquarium (fig. 19).
2. Insert the filter cartridge/s into the filtering compartment supplied.
3. Connect the LED power supply unit with its own power supply via the connector.
4. Insert the plugs into the power sockets, carefully following the safety instructions given in Chapter I. From this point onwards,
the power supply cables should not be disconnected unless regular cleaning or maintenance operations are to be carried out.
5. Check that the various appliances are operating (in the event of a fault, see Chapter VIII):
• Water should come out of the pump outlet;
• The heater indicator light should switch on when the water temperature is lower than the set temperature;
• When the light switch is pressed, it should switch on.
6. Wait for the water temperature to reach the value set in the heater.
7. Proceed with adding any fish according to your own experience and complying with the "good practice" regulations for
aquariums.
V.l LIGHTING AND TIMER PROGRAMMING
All NEWA Mirabello aquariums are equipped with high quality LED lighting capable of guaranteeing an extremely effective light
supply for a long service life. The composition of the strips, which can have different colour combinations between white, red
and actinic LEDs, ensure constant growth of flora and the well-being of the animals housed, both in freshwater and seawater
aquariums. The lighting system of NEWA Mirabello aquariums is controlled by touch controls that allow for manual starting,
timer programming and customisation of luminous intensity.
Description of the functions of the touch controls:
this key has a dual function:
1. Manual function: Power on/off
2. Timer function: decreases the time set in the preset program by 1 hour (-1h) each time it is pressed
