Section 2: Receiving, handling and storage

2.1. General

Power Xpert IGX switchgear is subjected to complete factory
production tests and inspection before being prepared for shipment.
Power Xpert IGX vertical sections are shipped in packaging designed
to provide protection to the equipment during shipment and storage
and also to provide convenient handling. Some peripheral items,
such as special tools and auxiliary devices, are shipped separately.
All tanks are shipped from the factory with the gas filled at rated
pressure. All vertical section-mounted power cable connectors are
shipped with dust-proof caps installed.
