Control Power On Electrical testing - remote
If the application includes the use of a remote control station,
confirm its operation.
Key Interlocking (3PS Mech)
Confirm operation of 3PS Mech Kirk key and Padlock
interlocking, per the provided interlocking schemes:
Prevent Connect (PC) and Prevent Grounding (PG)
Locked in Connect position (LC) and Locked in Grounded
position (LG)
Any additional interlocking sequences of operation as
required by the application
Verify Kirk Key number and exchange
Additional Interlocking
Verify with CB open and 3PS Mech disconnected that the 3PS
Mech cannot be moved to GROUND if voltage is detected by
the VDS (voltage detection system).
Verify with the 3PS grounded, CB closed and Prevent
Breaker Open (PBO) engaged, that the CB cannot be tripped
electrically or mechanically.
Check connections
Check high voltage connections, confirm cable connection
torques
Check ground connections for all bus, cables, cable
connectors and arresters (if furnished)
Check low voltage control cables and wiring for connection,
tightening torque
Check all CT secondary circuits for connection, polarity
Check all VT secondary circuits for connection
Check all fault detecting devices for connection
Protective devices
Confirm proper settings and operation of protective relays
Confirm proper settings and operation of Voltage Detection
System devices
Final Assembly
Verify no loose hardware or tools remain in/on the switchgear.
Confirm all covers have been fitted and properly torqued.
