Maintaining and servicing your
FM Trainmaster
Lubricating your FM Trainmaster's Pullmor motor armatures
Y
our FM Trainmaster will require occa-
sional lubrication of its Pullmor
motor armatures. If you hear excess noise
during operation, or if the locomotive slows
down intermittently, you may need to oil the
top armature bearings.
Start by removing the two cab screws
located at either end of the locomotive (see
page 14 for location). Remove from the cab
and set it aside.
Replacing your FM Trainmaster's lamps
Y
our FM Trainmaster is illuminated by
two 14-volt lamps. During the course of
normal operation, they may require
replacement.
Begin by removing the FM Trainmaster's
shell; see the previous section on armature
lubrication for detailed shell-removal infor-
mation. Carefully lift the shell away from
the frame.
Locate the assembly containing the
expired lamp. Carefully remove the target
lamp from the lamp socket. Replace it with
Lionel part no. 600-0161-300, available
from your authorized Lionel Service Center
or Lionel Service. See the Lionel Service sec-
tion on page 16 for more information.
Reinstall the shell.
