Locking your FM Trainmaster into a single operational state
T o select a single operational state for
your Lionel FM Trainmaster (example:
forward only), you can deactivate the
R2LC's sequencing function with the reverse
unit control switch, located on the under-
side of the locomotive.
Get your locomotive mov-
ing in the desired direction,

Using your FM Trainmaster's Electrocouplers™
Y our FM Trainmaster front and rear
Electrocoupler™ will respond to the
coupler release buttons on your CAB-1
remote when operated in the TrainMaster
Command environment (see page 9 for but-
ton location).
In TrainMaster Command operation, sim-
then slow it down without stopping. Set
the reverse unit control switch to PROG. The
FM Trainmaster is now "locked" into your
chosen direction.
When you no longer want single-direction
operation, just slide the reverse unit control

ply press the Coupler F (front) or R (rear)
button on your CAB-1 remote, and the cou-
pler opens, accompanied by the Railsounds
coupler release sound.
But be careful when uncoupling—the
speed of a newly uncoupled and moving
locomotive can increase dramatically.
