(available separately, 6-12717, 6-62283, or 6-12715). Having a bumper at each end of the track will cause a direction change in the Fire Car, so the unit will travel back and forth between the bumpers.
Lubricate your Fire Car when the parts illustrated in Figure 1 appear dry. Remove dirt and dust before lubricating, and always lubricate your locomotives when you bring them out of storage.
2. Remove the set screw from the top of the motor using a 3/64” Allen wrench. This screw is illustrated in Figure 2. 3. Add a small amount (two drops) of Lionel oil (available in the Lubrication and Maintenance Kit, no. 6-62927) to the set screw hole.
Replacing the lamp our Fire Car is illuminated by one flashing lamp, Lionel part no. 610-8470-009. During the course of normal operation, this lamp may require replacement. Replacement lamps are available from your authorized Lionel Service Center or from Lionel Service.
