The purpose of this document is to provide instructions on: • the installation of support legs (Fig. 1) on the sofa unit attached to the HappiJac Bedlift. • the removal and installation of the HappiJac Bedlift support brackets (Fig. 2).

POWER AND MOTION Support Leg Installation Remove the sofa unit from the HappiJac Bedlift and lay it flat face-down in a clean area. The support legs can be adjusted, if needed. The 14-inch legs are normally are installed on the seat cushion and the backrest uses the 15-inch.

HAPPIJAC BED LIFT SUPPORT LEG AND BRACKET INSTALLATION ® POWER AND MOTION Repeat steps 4 and 5 on the other side and make sure the end of the legs do not overlap one over the other. Keeping the brackets in the same position, press the adjustment button (Fig. 5A) and rotate one of the legs to make sure it does not stick out beyond the seat cushion hinge when in the stored position.

13. Secure the bracket to the frame with two 1 1/4" self-tapping screws. 14. Fold all three legs down and reinstall the sofa on the HappiJac support brackets. 15. After the sofa is installed, lower the sofa until it is stopped by the microswitch. Make sure the legs gently rest on the floor.

HAPPIJAC BED LIFT SUPPORT LEG AND BRACKET INSTALLATION ® POWER AND MOTION Remove the stop screw (Fig. 9A) from securing the support bracket, then remove the screw (Fig. 9B) securing the trolley stop lock bracket (Fig. 9C) and remove the bracket. Set screws aside for later use.
