It is recommended to clean the grease filters every 2 weeks! Clean them in the dish-
washer or place the filters in a solution of boiling water and washing-up liquid or soda
crystals. Allow the filters to dry thoroughly and re-insert them in the cooker hood.

Carbon filter mat

In the case of recirculating cooker hood systems, it is recommended to reactivate the
carbon filters at least every 6-8 months.
The service life of the carbon filter will depend on various factors:
-
The type and concentration of the dirt deposited on the filter;
-
The period of exposure;
-
The flow rate of the cooker hood.
All of these factors affect the filter performance, even if it is regularly reactivated. During
normal use of the cooker hood in medium position, the odour absorption performance of
the carbon filter will reduce after a number of reactivation cycles.
It is recommended to replace the filter approx. every 2 years.

Reactivating Carbon Filter mat

Reactivate the carbon filter by placing it in the oven at a temperature of max. 90°C for
60 minutes This process can only be performed twice

What To Do With a Used Active Carbon Filter

By law, all carbon substances must first be tested and then disposed of in an appropria-
te manner depending on the test results The substances absorbed by domestic carbon
filters are not harmful to the environment. They can therefore be disposed of in accor-
dance with the local and national regulations The user may dispose of the product at
their local special recycling centres
