RECEIVE VOICE
The LED lights in green.
When the other party transmits it, you hear the voice of the other party.
POWER OFF
After use, turn off the power. To switch the transceiver
power OFF, turn the Power switch/ Volume control fully
counterclockwise, until a click sounds.
SIMPLEX/ DUPLEX SELECT MODE
Press the [
] button to change between Simplex mode and Duplex (repeater)
mode.

Only channels 1 to 8 and 41 to 48 can be set to Duplex mode. All other
channels can be used only in Simplex mode.
•
The "
" indicator appears while using Duplex mode.
SQUELCH OFF
Press the Side 1 button to listen to weak signals that you cannot hear during
normal operation and to adjust the volume when no signals are present on your
selected channel.
The "
" indicator appears when the Squelch Off has been activated.
BACKLIGHT
Press the Side 2 button to turn the transceiver display backlight on.
•
The display remain lit for 5 seconds. Pressing any button other than the PTT
switch and the Power switch/ Volume control while the backlight is on will
reset the timer to 5 seconds.
