5.2.6 Fitting the activated charcoal filter (optional)
The activated charcoal filter can be fitted to eliminate odours. In normal circumstances the activated
charcoal filter should be changed every 3-6 months, depending on use of the hob.
To install the charcoal filter, remove the grease filter(s), then install the charcoal filter in compliance with
the assembly instructions, and refit the grease filter(s).
The activated charcoal filter installation procedure is described below:
- Before installing or replacing the activated charcoal filter, disconnect the appliance from the power
supply.
- Press the filter block and remove the mesh filter.
- Turn the filter block counter-clockwise. Replace the charcoal filters with the new ones.
- Fit the mesh filter.
- Plug the appliance plug into the electrical socket.

DANGER: Make sure the filter is properly locked in place. If it is not, it can work loose and
create dangerous conditions.
NOTICE: When the activated charcoal filter is fitted, suction power will be lower.
