2 : GENERAL SAFETY RULES

2.1

Important warnings

DANGER: Filters saturated with fat or oil can cause fires.
DANGER: There is a risk of fire if cleaning is not carried out in compliance with the
instructions.
DANGER: When using the hood, do not leave frying pans on the cooker without
supervision because hot fat and oil may catch fire.
DANGER: Do not leave gas rings operating with an open flame under the hood.
DANGER: Fire hazard: do not place objects on the hob cooking surfaces.
CAUTION: When the hood is installed over a gas hob, the distance between the hob and
the lowermost part of the hood must be at least 75 cm.
CAUTION: Be careful of sharp edges inside the hood, especially during installation and
cleaning procedures.
CAUTION: Do not use the hood without the grease filters or if the filters are excessively
fouled.
CAUTION: Do not install the hood over a cooker with an eye-level grill.
CAUTION: Before making any connections make sure the mains voltage corresponds
with the voltage shown on the label affixed to the inside of the appliance.
CAUTION: The extracted air must not be conveyed in a flue used to discharge fumes
from appliances fired by gas or other fuels (not applicable to appliances that only extract
air from the room).
CAUTION: Connect the hood extraction tube to an expulsion duct of adequate inside
diameter (at least 120 mm).
CAUTION: Always provide adequate ventilation of the room when the hood or gas
powered appliances are used simultaneously.
