CONNECTION AND CONFIGURATION

Make sure that your PC is powered off.

To connect the router to a DSL line: connect a phone cable between the DSL port of the
router and the MODEM port of the splitter. Connect your phone to the PHONE port of
the splitter. Then connect another phone cable between a phone jack and the LINE port of
the splitter.

Connect the power cord to the power connector port on the back panel of the router, then
plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet or power strip.

Turn on the router by pressing the ON/OFF button on its back panel.

Connect the router to your PC.
PC with Ethernet adapter: connect an Ethernet cable between an available Ethernet
port of the router and the Ethernet port of your PC. Turn on your PC and wait until
your operating system is completely loaded.
PC with Wi-Fi adapter: turn on your PC and wait until your operating system is
completely loaded. Then turn on your Wi-Fi adapter and connect to the network
DSL-224. Use WPS PIN from the barcode label as the network key.

Start a web browser. In the address bar of the web browser, enter the IP address of the
router (by default, the following IP address is specified: 192.168.1.1). Press the Enter
key.
After the first access to the web-based interface you are forwarded to the page for changing default
settings in order to improve security of your network.
In the Password and Confirmation fields, enter a new password for the administrator

account. You may set any password except admin. Use digits, Latin letters (uppercase
and/or lowercase), and characters available on the keyboard. Remember or write down the
new password for the administrator account.

In the Network name (SSID) field, enter a new name for the router's wireless network
or leave the value suggested by the router: DSL-224-XXXX where XXXX are the last 4
characters of the device's MAC address.

Click the Apply button.
When the web-based interface is accessed the next time and after, the login page opens. Enter the
username (admin) in the Login field and the password you specified in the Password field, then
click the Enter button.
After successful registration the Information page opens.
The web-based interface of the router is multilingual. If you need to select another language for the
web-based interface, place the mouse pointer over the English caption in the top part of the page
and select a language from the menu displayed.
Use the menu in the left part of the page to configure the router. You can run a needed Wizard (in the
Home section), go to a needed page of the web-based interface, or find a specific page via search.
To configure connection to the Internet, go to the Click'n'Connect page in the Home section or to
the WAN page in the Net section.
To change settings of the LAN, left-click the IP address of the local interface (right column of the
LAN IP line in the Network information section on the Information page) or go to the LAN
page in the Net section.
