    ➢ Latest NCR 123Scan Configuration Utility is pre-installed in PC/POS terminal. STEPS: 1. Using a USB communication cable, connect the NCR 7895 scanner to a computer or POS terminal and boot up the scanner. The scanner produces three incrementing beeps after booting up.

  • Page 7 • NCR Use Prefix: Enable Note: If customer doesn’t use prefix, disable this setting. • NCR Use BCC: Enable Note: If NCR Interface is Scanner Only, disable BCC, if Scanner/Scale, enable BCC. • NCR Interface: Scanner Only or Scanner/Scale • NCR Prefix: 1002 (prefix 02) Note: Set parameter to blank if customer doesn’t use prefix.

Select other menu options on the left to set other needed configurations (e.g. symbologies, scale parameters, etc.), else proceed to step 9. 9. Load new configurations to the scanner. Select “9. Load and print” (left menu) then click Load to scanner (right menu, either of the menu buttons below).

    4. Launch any Serial application with correct com port settings then perform tests on the 7895 scanner (ex. barcode scanning, commands sending, etc.). Note: If the serial application is not able to detect the 7895 scanner, reboot the scanner to re-enumerate the device.
