Cleaning and maintenance
Before starting the pyrolytic mode
• Remove accessories and cooking utensils, including
pull-out rails and protective elements, from the oven
before starting the pyrolytic mode and ensure that the-
re is no spilled food in the baking chamber to achieve
the best cleaning results.
• Remove large amounts of dirt from the cooking cham-
ber manually.
• Clean the inside of the appliance door and the edges of
the cooking chamber in the area of the seal.
Do not scrub or remove the seal.
• While doing these operations, make sure that the oven
switched off.
Setting pyrolytic self-cleaning mode
• Use the
key and then the slider or
select the pyrolytic mode
• Make sure that there are no accessories or food in the
cooking chamber and close the door tightly.
• Press the
key to start the pyrolytic mode.
At the start of operation, the control panel is automati-
cally deactivated and the oven door is locked until the
appliance has cooled down.
• Ventilate the room during pyrolysis operation.
Pausing and cancelling the pyrolytic mode
• When the pyrolytic mode is started, all other functions
of the appliance are automatically disabled.
• If you want to pause or cancel the pyrolytic mode, you
must first unlock the control panel.To do this, press
and hold the
key for 3 seconds, then you can pause
or cancel the operation with the
pause, press twice to stop pyrolytic mode.
However, the appliance door is only unlocked automati-
cally when the temperature is safe.
Pyrolytic mode settings
• The pyrolytic mode settings are factory set and cannot
be changed.
After starting, the pyrolytic mode can only be paused or
stopped as described above.

• When the pyrolytic mode is completed, a continuous
acoustic signal sounds. To interrupt this, press the
key or wait for the alarm to stop automatically.
• When the appliance has cooled down to a safe tempe-
rature, you can open the door again.
• When the cooking chamber has cooled down, remove
the combustion residue/ash by wiping the cooking
chamber including the door area with a damp cloth.
• Replace pull-out rails, protective elements and acces-
sories in the oven.
• If you wish to start another heating mode after pyroly-
sis, you must first release the automatic safety lock on
the control panel by pressing and holding the
for 3 seconds.
Notes:
• During pyrolytic mode, the frame on the inside of the
appliance may discolour. This is normal and has no
effect on the function.
The discoloration can be removed with a stainless steel
cleaner.
• Heavy soiling can cause white deposits to remain on
the enamel surfaces. These are caused by food resi-
dues and are harmless. They have no influence on the
functionality.
If necessary, you can remove the residues with lemon
juice or other cleaning agents.
