4. Troubleshooting
Solution
Check DC power to MetPak II/MetPak II R, cable and
connections.
Check communications settings of the MetPak
II/MetPak II R and host system match, including
correct Com port.
Check that the unit is in Continuous mode.
Check that in-line communication devices are wired
correctly.
NOTE: It is usual for the MetPak II/MetPak II R TX + to
be connected to converter device RX +.
If appropriate use Safe Mode to attempt to obtain
communication with the MetPak II/MetPak II R.
Check that the communication settings of the MetPak
II/MetPak II R and host system match.
Try a slower baud rate.
Check cable lengths and type of cable.
Check that the wiring is in accordance with the manual.
Check that the Temperature and Dewpoint units of
measure (C, F, K) settings are correct on power up.
Check that the Wind Sensor units of measure (m/s,
knots, kph, ft/min, mph) settings are correct on power
up.
Check that the HygroClip filter is clean.
Should the Barometer read 8000 this might indicate
that the unit has been powered up at lower than -15
deg C. Re-cycle the power to clear the Barometer
8000 reading.
