Volvo 1991 240 Model
WARNING!
The jack's hook must engage the pin in the jack attachment (A). The car's weight must not rest on
the jack's hook (B).
Never crawl under a car supported by a jack.
Use the jack intended for the car when replacing a wheel.
For any other job use stands to support the end of the car being worked on.
Apply the parking brake, engage first or reverse gear (pos. P for cars equipped with automatic
transmission).
Block the wheels standing on the ground. Use rigid wooden blocks or large stones.
The jack should stand on firm, level ground.
The jack should be kept well-greased.
Do not rotate a raised rear wheel if the car is equipped with a limited slip differential. This will also
rotate the opposite wheel (on the ground) and the car may slide off the jack.
