prevent the brakes from locking. The systems performs a self-diagnostic test when the vehicle is started
and a slight vibration may be felt in the brake pedal at this time. The vibrations will stop when the test
has been completed.
The momentary operation of the hydraulic modulator in the engine compartment may also be audible.
This is quite normal.
Note that the ABS system does not increase the total braking capacity of your car. It does, however,
enable you to steer and helps to retain better control of the vehicle.
