Use the setting screw on the right-hand side of the rip
fence housing to set the width of cut precisely.
After setting is completed push down the left-hand side
lock lever.
Cleaning the magnifying glass
The rip fence housing's magnifying glass can easily be
removed for cleaning with thumb and forefinger.
Squaring the rip fence
The rip fence is factory set to 90° and the setting
checked. If required, the setting can be adjusted by
loosening the four hexagon socket head cap screws (A)
and then setting the housing (B) square with the fence
extrusion.

Caution! All setting is done only with the motor switched
off. For your own safety pull plug from socket!

4.1 Blade Guiding

The blade guide of the band saw model BAS 600
provides for an exact guiding of the saw blade.
With narrow saw blades ensure that the blade guide
guides the blade below the table properly both from the
rear and the sides. To achieve this set the guide bearings
close to the blade, to within 0.5 mm (fig. 14). The rear
thrust bearing (A) is set against the back of the blade,
also at a distance of 0.5 mm.
