– Remove the nuts -7 and 9- and the heat shield bracket.
– Remove nuts -1 through 6 and 8- and the exhaust manifold.
Installing
Install in reverse order of removal. Note the following:
Tightening Specifications
• Refer to ⇒ Fig. ""Right Exhaust Manifold - Tightening Specifi‐

• Refer to ⇒ "2.1 Overview - Exhaust Manifold", page 261
Note
♦ Replace seal and nuts.
♦ Coat the thread on the nut with hot bolt paste. Refer to the
Parts Catalog.
– Position the exhaust manifold with the catalytic converter seal
and tighten the nuts. Refer to
- Tightening Specifications and Sequence:"" , page 262
– Install the Heated Oxygen Sensor - G39- . Refer to ⇒ Fuel
Injection and Ignition; Rep. Gr. 24 ; Fuel Injection System,
Servicing; Heated Oxygen Sensors, Removing and Installing .
– Install the air filter housing. Refer to ⇒ Fuel Injection and Ig‐
nition; Rep. Gr. 24 ; Fuel Injection System; Air Filter Housing,
Removing and Installing .
– Install the right catalytic converter. Refer to
alytic Converter, Removing and Installing", page 256
– Install the noise insulation. Refer to ⇒ Body Exterior; Rep. Gr.
66 ; Underbody Trim Panels .
