2. Disconnect the CMA from the CMA bracket on the rear of the enclosure. Squeeze the two knurled
knobs on the spring-loaded quick release hinge on the left side of the CMA together as shown in Figure
3 on page 3.

3. Follow the appropriate steps to prepare for a service action to release the CMA to access the faulty
PSU.
Open the CMA by swinging the CMA arm outwards just enough to access the PSU.
4. Unplug the power cord from the faulty PSU jack.
Warning: While some factory-approved maintenance on FRUs (e.g. hot-swapping a PSU,
fan, I/O module, regulator, or drive) does not require the user to disconnect power to the
system, performing other types of maintenance on systems connected to an electrical power
supply may result in serious injury or death. Only individuals with knowledge and training in
working with devices containing live circuits should operate the system. Take precautions when
performing all other types of maintenance.
Disconnect 1 power supply cords before servicing.
5. Remove the faulty PSU.
a) Press down on the green release tab to release the cam. The release tab cannot be pressed if the
power cord is still plugged into the PSU jack.
