Problem
The product does not start.
The charging of the battery does not
start.
The charging of the battery stops.
Unusual noises from the battery.
The "ALERT" indicator on the prod-
uct flashes.
The "ERROR" indicator on the prod-
uct comes on.
The "ALERT" indicator and "ERROR"
indicator on the battery flashes or
comes on.
"ALERT" and "ERROR" indicators on the battery
If the "ALERT" indicator and/or the "ERROR" indicator on the battery comes on, a system error has occurred. Do the
troubleshooting procedure. If the problem stays, speak to an approved service agent.

Troubleshooting

Cause
The battery is not installed correctly.
Low battery voltage.
The battery is defective.
The battery charger is disconnected
to a mains outlet.
The battery charger connector is not
connected to the battery.
The temperature of the battery is too
high.
The protection function is engaged.
The "START" button is engaged
when the power button is pushed.
The battery is too hot.
The protection function is engaged.
"ALERT" and "ERROR" indicators on the battery on page 17 .

Install the battery correctly. Make
sure that the battery cable is connec-
ted to the product.
Charge the battery
Replace the battery.
Connect the battery charger to a
mains outlet.
Connect the battery charger connec-
tor to the battery.
Make sure that there is no distance
between the air intake of the battery
charger and the air intake/air outlet of
the battery.
Speak to an approved service agent.
Speak to an approved service agent.
Push the "STOP" button. Then push
the "POWER" button.
Stop the product and wait until it be-
comes cool.
Speak to an approved service agent.
