age fuel consumption, select it by
pushing button B. The average fuel
consumption display will flash for a few
seconds. While the display is flashing,
push button A for one second.
TIP
After resetting the average fuel con-
sumption, "_ _._" will be shown until
the vehicle has traveled 1 km (0.6 mi).
Coolant temperature
1. Coolant temperature display
This shows the coolant temperature
from 104 °F to 242 °F in 1 °F incre-
ments. When the coolant temperature
is below 104 °F, "LO" will be displayed.
The coolant temperature varies with
changes in the weather and engine
load. If the message "HI" flashes, stop
the vehicle, then stop the engine, and
let it cool. (See page 7-39.)
Air temperature
1. Air temperature display
This shows the air temperature from 14
°F to 210 °F in 1 °F increments. When
the temperature is below 14 °F, "LO"

will be displayed.
TIP
 The temperature displayed may
vary from the actual ambient tem-
perature.
 The temperature reading may be
affected by engine heat when rid-
ing slowly or when stopped at traf-
fic signals.

The clock uses a 12-hour time system.
To set the clock
1. Turn the key to "ON".
2. Push button B and button A to-
gether for two seconds. The hour
digits will start flashing.
3. Use button A to set the hours.
4. Push button B, and the minute
digits will start flashing.
5. Use button A to set the minutes.
6. Push button B and then release it
to start the clock.
TIP
You can check the time even when the
vehicle is off by pressing button B.
