3. Receiving the product

3.1 Transporting the product

WARNING
Falling objects
Death or serious personal injury
Secure the product during transport to
prevent it from tilting or falling down.
CAUTION
Back injury
Minor or moderate personal injury
Use lifting equipment.
CAUTION
Crushing of feet
Minor or moderate personal injury
Wear safety shoes when moving the
product.

3.2 Inspecting the product

Before installing the product, do the following:
1. Check that the product is as ordered.
2. Check that no visible parts have been damaged.
3. If parts are damaged or missing, contact your
local Grundfos sales company.

3.3 Lifting the product

WARNING
Falling objects
Death or serious personal injury
Do not use the motor eyebolts to lift the
entire product if the pump is fitted with
a motor of another make than Grund-
fos MG and MGE.
Follow the lifting instructions.
Use lifting equipment which is ap-
proved for the weight of the product.
Persons must keep a safe distance to
the product during lifting operations.
Wear personal protective equipment.
Note that typically the centre of gravity of
the pump is close to the motor.
3.3.1 Lifting the product in vertical position
To lift the entire pump with motor, follow the below
instructions for the size and type of motor fitted on
your pump. Valid for motors up to 45 kW.
Pumps with motor sizes 0.37 - 5.5 kW
Valid for Grundfos MG, MGE and for all types of
sourced motors.
Lift the product in the motor flange by means of
straps or similar lifting equipment.
Pumps with motor sizes 7.5 - 22 kW
Valid for Grundfos MG and MGE motors only.
Lift the product by means of the motor eyebolts.
