    2. Remove the front cover and the back cover. 3. Remove the label roll and the label spindle. 4. Place the printer facedown. Loose the four corner screws in the hollow. 5. Remove the mechanism assembly (see figure 2.4.1.). 6. Facing the PC Board (the board with RS-232 port), around the bottom of the left side there locates JUMP1, 2*8 pin-set.

    2-5. Self Test The self-test function helps you check if the printer works correctly. To use the self-test function; please follow these steps. 1. Load the paper. 2. Hold down the feed button when powering on. 3. Release the feed button. Wait a minute, the printer will print the self-test contents.

    3. Maintenance and Adjustments 3-1. How to clean the printer head 1. Remove the top cover. 2. Press your finger on Retainer bracket, move out the two Fasteners from the Retainer bracket, and take out the Retainer bracket and the print head unit.
  • Page 9 If you are using thermal label paper 1. Remove the label from the liner. Load the liner paper under the sensor. 2. Slowly adjust the Variable resistor and press the paper feed switch (at least 7 times), until the LED light turns red.

    How to use stripper The label sensor is hidden inside the top cover. This sensor keeps the printer from printing the next label until you remove the previously stripped label. The liner paper is going out from the liner output bar. Please follow these steps.
  • Page 11 5. Place back the top cover. The printer is ready to print. When you start to print the label, the label will auto-strip from the liner paper. The printer will wait to print until the printed label has been taken away (see figure 4.2.2c).

    Remove the caught label. Make sure the width and thickness of label is within the specification. Clean printer head with alcohol (If the label glue is attached to printer head, please apply alcohol to printer head, wipe with soft cloth softly).
