Control
The VCR's remote control can control several functions on J VC
remote control TVs and on the brands of remote control TVs
listed below.
TURN O N THE TV
Turn the power on using the TV's remote control.

SET REMO TE CO N TRO L
MO DE
Set the TV / CABLE / VCR switch on the VCR's remote

control to TV.
SET TV BRAN D CO DE
Refer to the chart below. While holding down PO W ER

on the VCR's remote control, enter your TV's brand
code using the N U M BER keys, then press STO P .
Follow the example shown at bottom left.
● Once you have set the remote control to operate the
TV, you don't have to repeat this step until you
replace your remote control's batteries.
● GRADIENTE has four codes. If the TV does not
function with one code, try entering another.
O PERATE TV
First, press POW ER on the remote to see if the TV's power

goes off as it should. If it does, try other operations.
● The
N U M BER keys on the remote can all be used to
operate the TV. *For some brands of TV, you must
press EN TER after having pressed the N U M BER keys.
● If you have a J VC TV equipped with Hyper Surround
or Live Effex, the
● To return the remote to VCR control, set the
CABLE/ VCR switch to VCR.
N O TE:
Depending on the kind of TV, there may be cases where some
or all functions cannot be operated using the remote control.
