Anti-lock Brake System (ABS)

The Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) monitors the wheel rotation
speed and controls braking during extreme braking applications.
When a wheel loses traction with the road surface and locks in
extreme braking situations, the sensors transmit this dynamic to
the Electronic Control Unit (ECU) which regulates air pressure to
that brake to release the brake for an instant to regain traction.
Refer to the following diagram for each component of the ABS
system for the trailer brake system.
