Chapter Ⅷ Using the Trunk Networking Mode
Item
After the trunk mode is set in Configuration mode, the trunk starts to work when it is switched
1
to the common mode.
In relay mode, ADDH and ADDL are no longer used as module addresses, but are forwarded and paired
2
with NETID respectively. If one network is received, it is forwarded to the other network. The
network ID of the repeater itself is invalid.
3
In trunk mode, the trunk module cannot send or receive data and cannot perform low-power operations.
When entering from Mode 3 (sleep mode) to another mode or during reset, the module resets user
4
parameters, during which AUX output is low.
Description of trunk networking rules:
1、Forwarding rules. The trunk can forward data bidirectional between two NeTiDs。
2、In trunk mode, ADDH\ADDL serves as NETID instead of module address。
As the picture:
①Primary relay
"Node 1" NETID is 08。
"Node 2" NETID is 33。
ADDH\ADDL of Trunk 1 is 08,33 respectively.
So the signal sent by node 1 (08) can be forwarded to node 2 (33).
At the same time, node 1 and node 2 have the same address, so the data sent by node 1 can be received by node
2.
②Secondary relay
ADDH\ADDL of trunk 2 is 33,05 respectively.
Therefore, trunk 2 can forward data from trunk 1 to network NETID: 05.
Therefore, node 3 and node 4 can receive data from node 1. Node 4 normally outputs data. Node 3 and node 1 have
different addresses, so no data is output.
③Bidirectional relay
Configuration as shown in the figure: Data sent by node 1 can be received by nodes 2 and 4, and data sent by nodes
2 and 4 can also be received by node 1.
