    GETTING STARTED Thank you for purchasing Hunter Douglas Silhouette Halo Duolite Window Shadings. ® ™ ® With proper installation, operation, and care, your new shadings will provide years of beauty and performance. Please thoroughly review this instruction booklet before beginning the installation. If your shading has a protective plastic cover on the fabric-covered headrail, keep the plastic in place until the shading is installed.

    INSTALLATION Installation Overview To install your shading, you will need to perform the following four steps: STEP 1: Mount the Installation Brackets STEP 2: Mount the Battery Wand (PowerView Gen 3) STEP 3: Install the Shading STEP 4: Connect the Power Source (PowerView Gen 3) Mounting Types and Window Terminology If the installation brackets are mounted correctly, the rest of the installation process follows easily.

    INSTALLATION Attach the installation brackets using the screws provided. ■ Lever NOTE: Do not overtighten the screws. Check to ensure the lever can be moved easily side to side. If the lever is not moving easily, loosen the screws in one-eighth turn increments until it can be moved easily.

    INSTALLATION STEP 2: Mount the Battery Wand (PowerView Gen 3) ® NOTE: Follow this step if you are using a battery wand with PowerView Gen 3. ® For the headrail-mounted battery wand and rechargeable battery wand, battery wand clips and battery wand/rechargeable battery mount are installed before the shading is installed. Any other power options, the power source will be connected after the shading is installed.

    INSTALLATION STEP 3: Install the Shading Install the Optional Back Cover (If Applicable) The optional back cover is used on inside mounts only. Install the back cover into the back cover brackets on the rear of the installation brackets, ■ as shown.

    OPERATION Operate the Shading A single control is used to operate both the front window shading and the rear roller shade. Operation is sequential. The front shading must be lowered and the vanes over-rotated before the rear roller shade can be lowered. Conversely, the rear roller shade must be raised before the vanes on the front shading can be closed and the front shading raised.
