With proper installation, operation, and care, your new ® shadings will provide years of beauty and performance. Please thoroughly review this instruction booklet and the packing list before beginning the installation.

Mount into wood whenever possible.

    INSTALLATION Mount the Installation Brackets — Outside Mount Center the headrail over the window ■ opening at the desired height. Use a pencil to lightly mark each end of the headrail. Alternatively, measure the ➤ width of the headrail and use that width to mark the headrail end points over the window opening.

    INSTALLATION STEP 2: Install the Battery Wand (If Applicable) For the headrail-mounted battery wand and rechargeable battery wand, battery wand clips and battery wand/rechargeable battery mount are installed before the shading is installed.   • Page 21 INSTALLATION 18V DC Power Supply with Daisy-Chain Connections The daisy-chain feature allows up to three PowerView Gen 3 shadings to be powered by ® a single 18V DC Power Supply. However, each shading can operate independently. The daisy-chain feature is only available with the 18V DC Power Supply option. A daisy-chain is constructed out of extension cables and a Y-Connector.

    TROUBLESHOOTING Troubleshooting If your shade is not operating correctly: Review the digital support guide for your control device. ■ Refer to the following troubleshooting procedures for specific solutions for your shade. ■ If questions remain, please contact Hunter Douglas Consumer Support at (800) 789-0331. Problem The shading will not fit into the installation brackets.
  • Page 27 TROUBLESHOOTING Problem The vanes do not open when the shading is first operated. Solution Make sure the shading is completely lowered. Open and close the shading several times to help open the vanes. If necessary, gently pull down on the bottom rail. Problem Batteries in the battery wand need to be replaced.
  • Page 28 TROUBLESHOOTING Problem The rechargeable battery wand is charged but the shade does not operate. Solution If your rechargeable battery wand is charged but not working, it may be due to its physical location in your window. The rechargeable battery wand can operate in temperatures up to 176°F (80°C).
  • Page 29 TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Rechargeable battery needs recharging (continued). Recharging Via the Dual Charging Station Solution Plug the dual charging station into a standard AC ■ outlet. Insert the nose of the rechargeable battery wand ■ into the dual charging station slot. Battery snaps firmly into place.
  • Page 30 TROUBLESHOOTING Problem The bottom rail does not raise or lower completely, or its location when fully lowered has changed over time. Solution The batteries may be low in the battery wand, satellite battery pack, or C-size satellite battery wand. Replace the batteries. Check that the power source is securely connected to the power cable and the cables are not pinched or caught in the headrail or installation brackets.
  • Page 31 TROUBLESHOOTING Problem The shading raises from the sill when the vanes are closed. Solution A small gap between the sill and the bottom of the shading is normal in the fully lowered “vane closed” position. The gap is necessary to allow for the unimpeded movement of the bottom rail.
  • Page 32 TROUBLESHOOTING Problem The shading raises or lowers unevenly, the fabric rubs against one end of the headrail, or the bottom rail is uneven when fully raised. Solution Check that the window is square by measuring the diagonals. Check that the installation brackets are level. Shim to level, if necessary.
