4.3.2 Shutting Down Parallel-Running UPSs

To shut down parallel-running UPSs, perform the following steps:
Step 1 Shut down all loads, and keep the UPSs running without loads for about 10 minutes to
dissipate heat.

4.3.3 Exiting a Faulty UPS

If a UPS becomes faulty, it exits from the parallel system automatically. In addition, an
audible and visual alarm is generated. You can follow the procedure shown in Figure 4-1 to
exit the faulty UPS.

Release the MENU button. About 0.6 second later, hold it down for 0.6 second.
The message "Parallel UPS Set OK?" is displayed.

CAUTION
Before switching on the output breaker of the parallel system, measure the gap between
the maximum and minimum output voltages. If the gap is greater than 5 V, check that the
output voltage of each UPS is within the rated voltage range. If the gap is greater than 10 V,
contact Huawei technical support for repair.
After switching on the output breaker of the parallel system, check the output cross current
of each UPS. If any output cross current exceeds 3 A, contact Huawei technical support for
repair. Otherwise, the inverter will be damaged.
NOTE
If not all UPSs in the parallel-running system shut down, the LINE, BYPASS, and OUTPUT indicators
on the stopped UPSs are steady on, which indicates that the UPSs work in bypass mode.
