Disposal
Appliances no longer in use should be returned free of charge to a point of sales to ensure that
they are disposed of properly. Appliances with a hazardous fault condition should be disposed
of immediately, making sure that they can no longer be used. Do not dispose of electrical appliances
as household waste (environment protection).
REMOVING LIME SCALE
The formation of lime scale is the natural consequence of use of the machine. Lime scale must be
removed every 1-2 months; if the water is very hard, descale the machine more frequently. To remove
lime scale you can use a non-toxic or non-harmful descaling product for coffee machines, readily
available on the market.

for use

The symbol of the crossed out bin on the appliance indicates that, at the end of its working life, the
product must be collected separately from other waste. The user must therefore send the discarded
appliance to suitable centres for the separate collection of electric and electronic equipment, or
return it to the dealer when buying a new appliance of an equivalent type.
Suitable separate collection in which the discarded appliance is sent for recycling, treatment and
environmentally compatible disposal, helps avoid possible negative effects on health and the
environment, and encourages the reuse of the materials of which the appliance is composed. The
user is responsible for handing over the appliance to the appropriate collection facilities at the end
of its working life.
For further information on the collection systems available, apply to the local waste disposal service
or to the sales outlet where you purchased the appliance. Anyone who abandons this appliance
or throws it out and does not return it to a separate collection centre for electric and electronic
equipment is punishable by law with the administrative sanctions applied for illegal waste disposal.
