Preparing the Machine

Procedure
1. Park the machine on a level surface.
2. Remove the mower deck covers.
3. Raise the center and both wing decks to the transport
position.
Note: Use a jack stand to support the center deck.
Secure the wing decks with the transport deck lock.
4. Shut off the engine, set the parking brake, and remove
the key from the ignition.
5. Thoroughly clean mower decks. All debris must be
removed to ensure that the baffles fit properly against
the mower decks.
6. Remove the tension from the front left winglet belt to
ease the access to the mounting hardware.
7. Repair all bent or damaged areas of mower decks and
replace any missing parts.
Note: All holes exist in the mower decks for installing
the new baffles.
Note: Install the baffles with the carriage bolt heads
positioned under the mower deck unless otherwise
specified.
8. Lower the inner skids (Figure 1).
9. Torque the screw at the front of each inner skid to 9 to
11 N∙m (80 to 100 in-lb).
10. Lower the outer skids
