Configuration

Use the SOLSTYCE Configuration Tool, available for download from Distech Controls, to configure the gateway.
Use the Ethernet connection or the Console Port (mini USB type B connector SCY-2DALI only) to enable communication between the gateway and the
configuration tool.
See the user manual for more details.

Device Limits

It is important to never exceed the total current supply of the DALI channel. It is recommended to always be less than 90% of the total provided current to
account for any dynamic processes that may require more current at times.
Example:
Let us consider that a SOLSTYCE module supplies a current of 230 mA for connected DALI devices. If all DALI lights consumed 2 mA, and DALI sen-
sors in the bus consumed 8 mA then:
Total current = (64) * (2mA) + (9) * (8mA) = 200 mA
Maximum allowed current = (230 mA) * 0.90 = 207 mA
200 mA < 207 mA
Therefore, in this example, since the required current (200 mA) is less than 90% of the current supply (207 mA), we can connect 64 DALI lighting devices
and 9 DALI sensors.

Factory Reset

To return to factory settings, press and hold both A and B buttons simultaneously for five seconds. The LED lights on the device will fast-blink several
times during this process.
Once the buttons are released, the LED lights will slow-blink to indicate the device is returning to the factory default state. This process can take up to 90
seconds. When the factory reset is complete, the gateway will reset and try boot in standard mode with factory default settings.

Disposal

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive set out regulations for the recycling and disposal of products. The WEEE2002/96/EG
Directive applies to standalone products, for example, products that can function entirely on their own and are not a part of another system or piece of
equipment.
For this reason Distech Controls products are exempt from the WEEE Directive. Nevertheless, Distech Controls products are marked with the WEEE
symbol
, indicating devices are not to be thrown away in municipal waste.
Products must be disposed of at the end of their useful life according to local regulations and the WEEE Directive.
