Set-up, connection and initial start-up

Choose a suitable location

CAUTION
Risk of injury!
The appliance is heavy and bulky. Im-
proper handling of the appliance may
lead to injuries.
■ Seek the help of another person dur-
ing transport, installation and assem-
bly.
■ If a trolley is used to move the appli-
ance, the appliance must be moved
as shown on the packaging.
■ Only lift the appliance as shown on
the packaging.
■ Remove all obstacles on the transport
route and from the installation loca-
tion, e.g. open doors and clear away
objects lying on the fl oor.
Set up the unit only in a dry and frost-
proof room with a solid base.
Position the appliance near a sink/wash
basin or floor drain for installation of the
connection pipes.

Positioning

You can position the appliance in two ways:
– as a freestanding appliance in the room.
The space required for this corresponds
to the appliance measurements cited in
the following diagram.
– built under a worktop. In this case, you
must take the required recess dimensions
into consideration.

1. Remove cardboard, polystyrene and ad-
hesive strips from the inside of the appli-
ance, if you have not already done so.
2. Place the appliance in the desired posi-
tion.
3. In order to compensate for uneven floor
surfaces and set up the appliance hori-
zontally, you can screw the four adjusta-
ble feet (31) in or out. The adjustable feet
have slots around their circumference.
Insert a screwdriver and turn the adjust-
able foot.
Use a spirit level to set up the appliance.
