7. Uninstalling the Printer Driver

The installer (PrnInst.exe) is also used to uninstall the printer driver.
Caution
Do not use [Remove device] in [Devices and Printers]. The printer driver may
not be uninstalled correctly if you do so.
Pre-checks
Check the following items before uninstalling the printer driver.
Is the installer (PrnInst.exe) on the computer?
If PrnInst.exe is not on the computer, obtain it from
drivers/redirect.html.
For details, refer to "1.1 Preparing the Printer Driver".
Is the cable disconnected from the computer?
When uninstalling the printer driver of a printer connected to a computer via USB or
IEEE1284, power off the printer and disconnect the cable connecting the printer from
the computer.
Uninstalling the Printer Driver
1. Double-click PrnInst.exe.
2. Click [Next].
3. Click [Uninstall Printer Drivers].
