System software uninstallation

You can uninstall the Nortel Mobile Communication Gateway 3100 (MCG
3100) system software from the command line.

Admin shell access

Many of the maintenance procedures require that you access the admin
shell and log on using the nortel user account. You have two options for
admin shell access:

Shell commands

You can use Linux shell commands to perform the following tasks:

Read the Nortel software license agreement.
To agree to the license agreement, enter: YES
For a redundant server implementation, repeat Step 1 to Step 8 on
the second server.
Action
Log on to the server as nortel.
From any directory, enter the uninstall command:
sudo rpm -e mobilitygw mobilityadmin sq-base
sq-conf mobileclients
serial port connection
Secure Shell (SSH)
Start, stop, or restart the server processes.
Check whether the server processes are running.
Back up the server databases.
