APPLY EFFECTS

Bitbox mk2 has two effects that can be applied to as many pads as you want. You apply
an effect by selecting the send amount for the pad for each of the desired effects (Delay
and Reverb) and then configuring the parameters for each effect. All pads get the same
parameter values for each effect. The output of the effects, the wet stereo signal, is
routed to Outs 1 and 2. The pad output without the effects is routed to the the output
configured for each pad.

To Route a Pad to an Effect:

1.
Push the HOME button repeatedly until you
see the menu screen, and then touch FX to
display the FX screen.
2.
On the FX screen, touch the pad that you want
to use. Touching a pad does not trigger it on
this screen.
3.
Turn one of the left knobs to set the Delay send
amount for the pad. This is the amount of the
signal from this pad that you want to send to
the Delay for effects processing. You can also
use the touch screen to slide the level bar
graph for the effect. When a pad is sending
some of its signal to Delay, a blue triangle is
displayed in the top left corner of the pad. Turn
one of the right knobs to apply Reverb to the
pad and a blue triangle will appear in the top
right corner of the pad.

To Modify Effect Parameters:

1.
Push the HOME button repeatedly until you
see the menu screen, and then touch FX to
display the FX screen.
2.
Touch the FX1 or FX2 box on either side of the
screen to select it. The currently selected effect
is highlighted pink.
3.
Push the INFO button to display the effect
parameters screen for the selected effect.
4.
Turn the knobs to adjust the effect parameters.
You will hear the impact of the parameter
changes in real time. Here are the available

Delay
Determines the delay length. When Beat Sync is
On, delay is specified in musical intervals:
1/64, 1/32, 1/16, 1/8T, 1/16D, 1/8, 1/4T, 1/8D, 1/4,
1/2T, 1/2, 1 bar
When Beat Sync is Off, delay is specified as a
percentage from 0% to 100%.
Feedback
0 to 100%. Determines the amount of regeneration
or echo in the delayed signal.
Cutoff
When Filter is on, this is the cutoff frequency for the
filter. Select a positive value for a high pass filter
and negative value for a low pass filter.
Width
The width of the range of frequencies included
when FILTER is on.
Beat
This parameter controls whether the delay is
measured in musical time intervals or percentage.
Filter
Turn Filter on and then adjust the cutoff and width
parameters to filter the delay.
Ping
When Ping is on, the echoes will alternate (or ping
pong) from side to side. When off, the echoes are
the same in the left and right channels.
Reverb Decay
0 to 100%. How long the reverberation will ring out. Yes
Damping
0 to 100%. The amount of damping that is applied
to the reverb. Higher values will make the reverb
end sooner.
Predelay
0 to 100%. Determines the amount of delay in the
signal before the reverberation is applied. In real
life, this is related to how close the sources is to the
walls.
5.

screen.
